The pastoral work, centered on family, was visualized at the very beginning of the Eparchy through the department of Family Apostolate. It has a priest as director and he is assisted by a team of trained laymen and women. The services of a Priest, qualified and training in family counseling is available at the Department’s office at the Pastoral Centre, Kanjirapally. Families with relational, adjustment problems can receive expert guidance and follow-up family therapies. The work of this department extends to all the parishes in the eparchy.

Ave Maria Singles is a community for unmarried women that meets quarterly at the Family Apostolate office.
Judith Navomi, under the leadership of Mathruvedhi, supports widowed women and holds gatherings every 3 months at both high range & low range.

Family Apostolate offers a comprehensive Premarriage Course held once a month at two key locations: Nirmala Renewal Centre (N.R.C.) in Podimattam and Pastoral Animation Centre (P.A.C.) in Anakkara. This residential course spans three days, providing an immersive experience designed to prepare couples for the journey of marriage. Participants engage in a range of activities and discussions that address essential aspects of marital life, including communication, conflict resolution, and the spiritual dimensions of marriage.
In addition to the core course, meetings with the parents of the prospective spouses are also organized. These sessions are integral to the program, fostering a supportive environment where families can openly discuss their expectations and concerns.
By involving both partners and their families, the course aims to build a strong foundation for future marriages, ensuring that couples enter this new chapter with confidence and mutual understanding.
